State Grid Hebei Electric Power has carried out on-site trials of the new generation of intelligent integrated terminals.

On July 31st, the Marketing Service Center of State Grid Hebei Electric Power Company completed on-site trials of the new-generation intelligent integrated terminal in 8 typical low-voltage distribution areas in Shijiazhuang, Xiongan, and Hengshui, verifying the terminal's data collection, communication, and integrated application capabilities in complex distribution area scenarios. This provides support for the centralized deployment of distribution and operation equipment in low-voltage areas, data integration, and intelligent operation and maintenance.
In recent years, in the southern part of Hebei Province, new types of power sources and loads such as distributed photovoltaic power and charging piles have been rapidly connected. The operating conditions of low-voltage distribution areas have become increasingly complex. The original distribution network and marketing business terminals were independently deployed, which led to problems such as poor data sharing and high on-site operation costs, unable to meet the needs of line loss precision control, active perception of equipment failures, and monitoring of new energy operation.
The new-generation intelligent integrated terminal adopts a unified operating system and multi-core heterogeneous main control structure, and can intercommunicate data across multiple professional master stations, supporting the coordinated autonomy of the distribution area's power sources, grids, loads, and storage. It is more in line with the requirements for digital construction of the power grid under the high penetration rate of distributed new energy.
"We selected different types of distribution areas and carried out power data collection, distribution area load monitoring, and distribution area electricity metering for scenarios such as distributed photovoltaic power and problems such as large peak-valley differences in load, a large number of meters, and scattered installation," said Yan Chao, the on-site manager of the Technology Development and Digitalization Department of the Marketing Service Center of State Grid Hebei Electric Power Company.
After a 72-hour full-condition operation test, the full-scale meter collection time in standard-sized distribution areas was reduced by 20% compared to the original terminal, and the 15-minute-level data collection success rate was 100% for all. The functions of electricity usage anomaly identification and active reporting of equipment failures met the design requirements, and no equipment offline or false alarms occurred.
It is reported that the center will continue to follow up on the operation of the terminal under different loads and at different times, optimize function configuration and on-site operation procedures, steadily expand the pilot scope, and accumulate experience for the iterative upgrade of terminal devices, using digital technology to empower the improvement and efficiency enhancement of the power grid.
