To thoroughly implement the "Opinions of the General Office of the State Council on Improving the National Unified Electricity Market System" (Guo Ban Fa [2026] No. 4), and accelerate the construction of the Chongqing electricity market and promote its standardized operation, the Huazhong Energy Regulatory Bureau recently held a symposium on the construction of the electricity market in Chongqing. Relevant officials from the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology and the Chongqing Municipal Development and Reform Commission attended the meeting.
At the meeting, representatives from power generation enterprises, power sales companies, energy storage enterprises, and power users actively spoke, deeply analyzing the existing bottlenecks and obstacles in the construction and operation of the medium and long-term, spot, ancillary service, and retail electricity markets. They put forward constructive suggestions on optimizing market operation rules, improving market trading mechanisms, enhancing risk prevention and control capabilities, and promoting the reasonable transmission of costs.
