Jiuquan, Gansu: Actively plan the 750kV substation projects in Mazongshan of Subei and Aksa

On June 26th, the theme series press conference on "Striving to Write the Chapter of China-style Modernization in Gansu Province" (Jiuquan Session) was held.
Zheng Xianghui, the Vice Mayor of Jiuquan Municipal People's Government, responded to reporters' questions and stated that in line with the goal requirements of "being able to generate, receive and utilize clean energy power effectively", the city is simultaneously promoting the upgrading of the local power grid and the construction of external transmission channels. Internally, efforts are being made to accelerate the commissioning of the 750-kilovolt Ganxian Xihu Substation, promote the expansion and improvement of three 750-kilovolt substations such as Mohe, and actively plan the projects of the 750-kilovolt substations in Maungshan and Akexi. They aim to incorporate these projects into the national planning to enhance the local grid connection and power consumption capacity. Externally, efforts are being made to fully promote the construction of the UHV transmission channel for power from Longnan to Sichuan, accelerate the preliminary work for the two return transmission channels of Koomatager and Badagong, and accelerate the resolution of the bottleneck of new energy consumption and the smooth transmission of green electricity across provinces, thus opening up the main artery for green electricity transmission.
He pointed out that in the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, Jiuquan City will achieve a total installed capacity of clean energy reaching 800 million kilowatts and strive to exceed 1000 million kilowatts. It will fully build the core base of clean energy in the Hexi Corridor. Key efforts will be made to build the three 100 million-kilowatt photovoltaic and wind power bases of Badagong, one-way and two-way transmission channels of Koomatager, and the 750-kilovolt substations in Maungshan and Akexi. It will promote the simultaneous planning and implementation of new energy projects and supporting power sources, energy storage facilities, and drive Jiuquan to leap from a 100-million-kilowatt base to an extremely large-scale clean energy base of 1 billion kilowatts.
It was also mentioned that efforts will be made to expand application scenarios such as "new energy + computing power", "new energy + hydrogen and ammonia alcohol", and "new energy + zero-carbon parks", achieving dual empowerment of resource development and industrial cultivation. Precise alignment with the industrial transfer in the eastern region will lead to the implementation of a number of leading and complementary manufacturing projects, and continuous improvement of upstream and downstream supporting industries. Efforts will be made to increase the export of new energy equipment, and fully build a new energy and equipment manufacturing cluster with a complete industrial chain, significant agglomeration effect, and strong radiation capacity.
