The self-healing distribution network demonstration zone in the core area of Anning District, Lanzhou City, Gansu Province has been completed and put into use.

On June 30th, the self-healing distribution network demonstration zone in the Anning core area of Lanzhou City, Gansu Province was put into use. This is the first self-healing distribution network demonstration zone built by Lanzhou Power Supply Company, featuring "micro-second perception and second-level self-healing" capabilities.
This demonstration zone covers the 30 square kilometers of the core urban area of Anning District, involving 130,000 low-voltage customers and 1,400 medium-voltage customers. Lanzhou Power Supply Company initiated the construction of this demonstration zone in March, strengthening the power grid framework, upgrading intelligent equipment, and addressing issues such as large fault outage areas, long handling times, and insufficient automation control in the distribution network.
To address problems such as insufficient current-carrying capacity of lines, unreasonable connection points, and overload in main trunk lines within the core area of Anning, Lanzhou Power Supply Company completed the renovation of 40 power supply lines, achieving full interconnection of 66 lines. The company also completed the iterative upgrade of 47 one-two integrated intelligent pole-mounted switches and 13 distribution substations' automation equipment.
After the demonstration zone was put into use, relying on the intelligent self-healing regulation function of the dispatching main station, the distribution network can precisely locate the fault section within one minute after a fault occurs, automatically complete load transfer and isolation of the fault area, and minimize the power outage area to the greatest extent.
Currently, the coverage rate of distribution network automation in this demonstration zone has increased by 17.36%, the coverage rate of feeder automation has increased by 39.40%, the line connection rate and the "N-1" pass rate have increased by 21.21%, and the regional power supply reliability and power quality have reached the advanced level of Lanzhou urban area.
